The Cosmic Calendar by Carl Sagan!

Thanks to greybishop for suggesting this very cool 'Cosmic Calendar':

..."Imagine that the entire history of the universe is compressed into one year - with the Big Bang corresponding to the first second of the New Year's Day, and the present time to the last second of December 31st (midnight)."

Interesting geological time scale.

OJ287: 18 billion times more massive than our sun!

"Astronomers have weighed the biggest known black hole in the Universe.

The monster celestial object is 18 billion times more massive than our own Sun, says a team from Finland - six times larger than the previous record."

Why am I feeling so small...?

Who can resist a log pillow?

Well, it appears that everyone can resist a log pillow as nobody has commented on this link. I guess, the more I think about it, a log does conjure up images of a hard, rough surface filled with slivers or bugs; not a image normally associated with a pillow. Would people begin to call me knothead if I buy one of these pillows?

Interesting commercial, even if it is advertising Spam!

For Spam-lovers you can also buy a very cool looking book about Spam! Yes, we are talking about the Spam commonly found in a tin (or in Lady's case, Spam sculptured into it's own bucket. Or found in Spam McMuffins as told by newbie!).
