Yes, it is a very strange commercial. The 'beer' category allows an opportunity to present an attitude rather than build on the merits of taste.
The 'cola' companies can do this too, but the appeal is generally to a wider audience and thus a bit more 'main stream'. I'll see if I can dig up one of the latest Coke commercials.
...and they went with the idea too!!! Crazy. I commend them for that. I guess going with the really way-out-there idea and it "looking good" production quality wise could really pay off, getting people talking. JDH

By far the strangest commercial I've seen in a long time.
Can you imagine trying to sell this concept to the client: "...and then we'll have these giant hair pods..."
