"Vincent" isn't in my usual bag of wedding tricks, so I'm not overly tired of it.
In fact, that kind of ballad (not the "ballad" as in sappy love song drenched in syrop, but "ballad" as in a song that tells a story and worries less about rhyme scheme and more about storytelling) is one kind of music I really like.
Chris DeBurg is still one of my faves (although if I NEVER hear "Lady in Red" again, that'd be just fine!) and I love that Willie Nelson tune they used in Lost.
This was a great tribute. I always enjoy Van Gogh for his surprising colour and funky perspective choices.
Oooooh! Very nice, Sawsee. I never knew what that song was about. You are never too old to learn something new! Even old stuff that everyone else already knew!
Hey, GB, Willie is one of my favorites. Which song and which Lost episode? I guess I'm so focused on watching Lost and listening to the dialog that I'm not paying attention to what's in the background....
Darn! I have three of his CDs and that song isn't on any of them. It's not ringing any bells with me either. I guess I'll have to do some research....and some shopping.
No, I don't have the album. It's on the Lost soundtrack from season 1, along with "Delicate", and "Washed away", all of which I considered before settling on "I shall not walk alone" for the blogiversary video...

GB! I thought you would cringe at McClean's ballad!
Van Gogh have always been a fave of mine. A Very interesting character that shattered the mold of 'art'.

Hi Lady!
I'm glad you liked it!
I don't remember a Willie song either.
It's the song "Are you sure".
One of the greatest "hurtin'" songs ever.

It's on "Crazy: The Demo Sessions", track #7

Thanks, GB. I did find the song on u-tube and it is familiar to me. For some reason, I thought it was called "Look Around you".
Do you have that CD? Is his band on it or is it just Willie pickin' and singin'?

You must think that I live in a cave. I had no idea that TV shows put out soundtrack CDs....
Nor did I until I went looking for music for the video.
