So cool! He does a jumbo mindblowing work in the time it takes me to do an Ed-Norton/Swanee-River-style-dilly-dally (old Honeymooners reference) before getting my brush to even hit the paper! newbie

I just finished a watercolor class. I loved it and learned tons, but it made me a nervous wreck. Our instructor kept emphasizing working quickly, & that was just counter-intuitive for this nervous Nelly. It got to the point where I called it "the dreaded Q-word", and he joked that was going to be the title of a chapter in his instruction book. What sorts of art do you do? newbie

Hi newbie! I am painting in acrylics, although I did have instruction in watercolours, years ago. I used to use oils, but the cleanup and smell was not enjoyable!
