It is getting a lot easier, although there are times when a memory bubbles up to the surface. Most memories are good ones, replacing the ones from his last days.
Many times I find myself in disbelief that he is gone.
It's a beautiful day today and there's lots of new plants and trees to plant. Life experiences.
We are into our eleventh week. We are very excited. My wife is very nauseous and very tired. Her intuition tells her at least one of them is a boy, but who knows. I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet them and find out their personalities. JDH
and Hi Lady, thanks for the thoughts at the very top of the post. Still very sad sometimes, missing his smiling muzzle, (or it's menopause) and it seems Cooper is pooing twice as much, to make up for his absence....
Hey Canine Ridge, did you see this - http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/09/cuba_boosts_int.php Cuba is planning to plant 135 million trees this year. Add that to Mexico and you wonder why the US can't do better. JDH
I'm not sure if this tidbit is obvious, but it was not until I went to Italy that I realized/learned that 'da vinci' means Leonardo was 'of Vinci': a small town.

Hey, Sawsee! How are you and Canine Ridge doing today? How's that "new normal" coming along?
Hi Lady! Thanks for asking!

Good memories have a knack of pushing unhappy ones to the side over time.
I have to go home and hug my kitties now.
Here's to creating lots of great memories!
I'll drink to that!
In the process of hugging my kitties, I discovered that they have...fleas!
Grr.
I am SO gonna fix that.
Hey, I have some good news I've wanted to share for awhile now.
We are expecting twins!!! And I couldn't be happier!!!

Hey, JDH! That's so cool. When are they due? Boys, girls, one of each, or you'll find out when they get here?
Wow! JDH! That's very exciting news! We will wait, kind of, patiently for more details!

Exciting times, JDH!
All the best to you and your wife!
Will your home be finished by then?
No, probably not even started by then. We are still working out the floor plans.

That's awesome JDH! Twins! Zowie!

Be sure to keep us informed!

Hi, guys!
Canine Ridge, maybe Cooper, in his own doggie logic, is just trying to keep you busy so you won't have time to be sad....
JDH, are you going to have to add another room or two to those floor plans?
Thanks everybody!!! It's nice to share good news.
And yes, definitely adding more room.
And yes, March or April, good call GB!

Very encouraging JDH!
Cool insight into Leonardo.
