Hi Lady! I see your Stars are in the race! I have not seen the results of today's scores. I hope they won!

I wonder if Big Tree is ever called a knothead?

Hi Lady!

Well, your Stars are shining bright!

How's Mike doing?

Hey, Sawsee!

Old married Mike is doing great! No injuries so far this year (can't say the same for Zubov, though). Did you hear that he broke and passed all of the records for American born players? They had a really nice ceremony for him. His Dad cried like a baby and that made Mike cry too.....and Tom Hicks (owner).... and then everybody else too.

Hi Lady! That's great! I did not see that game. Was that the same game as the one when tootoo (sp?) sucker punched your player?

Mike was from Minnesota?

If memory serves correctly he played for the Minnesota North Stars and then they moved to Dallas, 20 years ago?? He can't be that old! Is he around 38?

Hey, Sawsee!

Mike will be 38 in June. I think the North Stars moved to Dallas during the '92-'93 Season. Yes, Modano has played with the Stars for his entire NHL career. When he accepted a huge pay cut after the strike, the team agreed to keep him until he's ready to retire. I also suspect that he will continue to have a job with the team afterwards....

Mike was born in Livonia (sp?), Michigan. A Red Wings fan, no doubt! Maybe that's why they usually beat us....

Yeah, Nashville is where he tied (and maybe broke) one of the records. Tootoo sucker punched Robidas when Robidas took exception to a hit that Tootoo made on Modano. There's a bit of bad blood between the teams now because Nashville failed to even mention Modano's accomplishment. Plus, the fans booed (and still do) Modano every time he touches the puck.....

In a later game, against San Jose, Modano broke another record. The Sharks were gracious enough to acknowledge and even honor him during that game. It was nice.

A funny thing about the ceremony in Dallas to honor Mike: It was QUITE clear that there is NO love between Mrs. Modano the Mom and Mrs. Modano the Wife!!! Oh, my!

Hi Lady!

That's nice how San Jose were classy enough to recognize Mike's accomplishments!

In our last game, the fans played tribute to Linden as it assumed he will now retire. The Calgary team who had already left the ice realized what was happening and came back and the whole team shook Linden's hand. Classy!

I can buy the intensity but Respect each other!

That's funny about Mike's two important women is his life! I guess he has to do some fancy stickwork to keep both happy?

LOL!

As far as I know, Mike's parents still live in Michigan. That's probably a GOOD thing....

Hey, Sawsee!

The Stars won the first two games.....in Anaheim! Do I dare to hope that we'll make it beyond the first round this year?

:-D

Congratulations Lady!

I did watch a tiny bit of it, as well as the Detroit/Nashville game.

Typically, when I turned on the Detroit game Hasek was scored upon 3 times in a matter of minutes.

I'm afraid I'm not the best person to ask how best to wish for more hockey success. My wishes for the hometeam generally ends in disappointment.

I guess the best way is to enjoy each game individually and squint a lot or look through your fingers while watching the game.

Well, Sawsee, if you have the power to make an opponent score against Hasek, I hope you'll be watching if Dallas has to play Detroit! They are our nemesis.

Apparently, a LOT of Red Wing fans live in Dallas. When they come to town, the arena crowd cheers just as loudly when Detroit scores as they do when Dallas does. It's strange.....
