Prints from the early 1900s, imagining life in the year 2000.

Some of those are truly prophetic.

The dictation machine, the communication with pictures/sound and even the school where the children listen to books.

Of course, they missed the fashions by a little...

So cool to see what our great grandparents envisioned us doing a century later.

Some of them were indecipherable though. I didn't understand what was supposed to be "futuristic" about the dinner party or the guy listening to his phonograph.

Very neat though.

Hi GB, hope all is well. Sawsee showed me your ghost rider, wow! such patience... re: these futuristic pics, the dinner one is a "chemical dinner"... they are eating pills, I think. But I didn't understand the concierge one... ? ( talking to the woman on the roof)

Thanks CR! After my itty-bitty chess set pieces, Ghost Rider was HUGE and the necessary detail work a lot less daunting! I'm pleased with the results.

I'm still puzzled by the concierge too. I guess the "futuristic" bit is the airplane in the background.

Glad to here fun was had in S.F.!
