Visit an historic salt mine.

"The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka is the only mining site in the world functioning continuously since the Middle Ages. Lying on nine levels, its original excavations (longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes, as well as minor and major shafts) stretch for the total of about 300 kilometres: reaching the depth of 327 metres they illustrate all the stages of mining technology development over time."

lol!

In the restaurant, I wonder if there's salt on the table?

Do they provide pepper?

sawsee, maybe, in the restaurant, you ask for a booth and lick the wall...????

for pepper, you have to go to a different mine.

lostbean! I wonder if the "Peppa" mine is right next door?

Yes, either lick the wall or drag the food across it.

Salt is a preservative so much more hygenic than the "PEPPER Mine" restaurant.

I have two salt lamps in my house. They help with nasal conjestion caused by my allergies. They would work even better if I remembered to turn them on more often....

maybe the salt mine offers pepper spray (giggle)...

lady, you have to turn on the ginko biloba lamps and they'll help you remember to turn on the salt lamps. ;o) my coworker has a salt lamp at her desk. it sets her at ease when it is on she says, so any time she starts to go into freak out mode, i first check her light to see if it's on.

Regretably, I never heard of these things until after I retired. I sure could have used one in my cubicle....

What reminds you to turn on the ginko biloba lamp.....?

I had never heard of Salt Lamps, so I googled it. Does it really work?

Though I couldn't find the ginko biloba lamps, google doesn't list them.

Hey, JDH! Good to hear from you. How are you and the family?

I think Beaner was just kidding about a ginko biloba lamp...

Yes, they work to a degree, JDH. But you have to turn them on and they work better in a small, confined area. Not perfect, but better than nothing when your head is all plugged up. I can't take decongestants, so I'm always looking for drug-free alternatives. I don't know about the calming part, but they are pretty to look at when they are lit.....

lady, maybe you could get one of those glade wisps fans that'll shoot out little spurts of ginko biloba and that would then cue you to turn on all your lamps. ;o)

Hi LinG, LB, GB and Sawsee,
LinG, we're all fine. There are times I could use a salt lamp, I'm looking into getting one.
I was kidding about the ginko lamp.

Has anyone heard of the book "The World Without Us"?
It sounds really interesting, I'd love to see it developed into a movie like Walking With Dinosaurs.
