This would be REALLY cool if you could actually go somewhere in it.....

Hi Lady!

You could always hover over the Grand Canyon!

Well, Sawsee, I always hate it when people say this, but....... been there, done that (in a helicopter, of course). Very scary but cool way to see the canyon.

Lady! I am impressed! I have had the privilege to ride in helicopters twice.

The Grand Canyon trip must have been spectacular!

Did you have good weather?

Since they won't fly those things if there are weather concerns, it must have been OK. It's been a while since then but, if I remember correctly, there was a delay and reschedule for the next day due to high wind conditions.

It was early morning and there was a bit of a haze over the canyon but still pretty cool. I was too scared to let go of the struts so that I could take some pictures....

Hi Lady!

Did you fly over the canyon only, or did they swoop down near the river?

I watched the mules hauling people down the long, narrow, zig-zagging path down into the canyon; as cool as that would be, all I could think about is what happens when you meet up with another group: who goes around onto the edge and who gets the honour of clinging to the rock wall?

Hey, Sawsee! No swooping! Above rim flying only.

Helicopter flights over the canyon have either been stopped or severely limited since then. Noise and air pollution were the main reasons. I'm sure that rescue difficulty figured in there, too....

Hi Lady!

I'm not sure if you saw my post about Jess's comments being 'correct', but while I was looking at old comments I stumbled upon a 'brian'. It had a link to a blog, and his bio said his zodiac sign was 'HORSE'. I am very surprised that 'horse' was a poster at Geebees.

REALLY!?! I guess he knows that we don't think much of him.....LOL

Since when is a horse a zodiac sign?

'Horse' is from the Chinese zodiac: "Year of the
horse" or...

I just checked in over at EW, and was surprised to see the comments have dried up!
