Hi, Sawsee!
Long time, no chat. How have you been?
Modano's wedding is still on. Probably a small intimate affair at the end of the summer and before training camp.....
I thought you might jump in on the rodent/cat discussion at GB's blog (main page). I've always heard that rodents stay out of houses where cats live, but you are the only person I personally know who can either prove or debunk that theory.
Our little, tailess kitty is still earning her keep, other than the small hummingbird she brought into the house, to show off with...
She tore a hole, big enough for her head to fit through, into the 50 pound bag of dog food the other night. She weighs about 12 pounds, but suffer the fool mouse that strolls her way...
There is a mouse nest a few hundred feet from our house, and she'll crouch in the grass for hours on end, in inclement conditions, fixated. Then, normally around 3 a.m. she'll let out a strange snarl/meow in our bedroom, to alert us she has a live micey, in her mouth. Lots of fun! She now knows the drill: we are jolted awake, and she drops the mouse to let it run, then she quickly recaptures it and heads back downstairs for a wee snack. I, fully gloved, pick up the pieces in the morning...
There is hope for our NHL schedule and realignment issues. Read "A Different Perspective" by Mike Heika in this morning's "The Dallas Morning News". Tom Hicks is the owner of The Dallas Stars.

If that's the case, they need to islolate what, exactly, keeps the rodents from moving in.
Then they need to bottle whatever it is and sell it to me.
Hi Lady and Greybishop!

Hey, Sawsee!

Hi Lady!
That's great news! He'll bring in a fresh perspective that may result in change. Let's cross our fingers!
Fingers crossed. Check!
Sawsee -
Eep.
Any way you could ship Killer-Kitty to Prescott for a week or two?
I am SERIOUSLY considering the idea of getting a cat...
Not sure I'm gonna handle the clean up aspect all that well, but we'll cross that bridge...
Hey, GB!
More close encounters of the rodent kind......?
Hey GB! It might be easier to ship over all your mice.
Our little kitty would make a dent in your province!
Clean up is not toooo bad! I have 'mouse only' gloves that are left outside, until an occasion arises.
